Dr Ravindra Shivde (Ravi) is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from Nasik. Born on 26th January 1954, in the family of a school principal, Ravi had his schooling in Boys’ Town, Nasik and stood in the merit list at SSC examination. He obtained the degree of MD (Ob/Gy), DGO from Seth G S Medical College Mumbai and is running his maternity and surgical nursing home in Nasik for last 40 years. He is Past President and current Trustee of Nasik Obstetric and Gynecological Society. Sujanan Conference on Genetics and Foetal Medicine, organsied under his chairmanship was a grand success. He was honored with Dr Gupte Memorial Award for exemplary medical services to people of Nasik in 2007, Nashik IMA's ideal doctor award in 2011, NOGS Life Time Achievement Award in 2015 and Lions Club Devdoot Award in 2018.

Ravi has a wide range of interests ranging from History, Philosophy, Literature, Music, Drama, graphic designing and web-designing. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Sanskrit and Urdu. He has translated Pali verses of Buddha's Dhammapada in Urdu Shayari. He has a passion for mountaineering and has trekked extensively in Sahyadri and Himalayas. He has participated in and finished 11 Full Marathon races at Mumbai along with numerous half-marathons and hill marathons.

Ravi responded to the call of Rotary International in 1992 by joining Rotary Club of Nasik. He was elected President in 2001-2002. As president he founded RICH (Rotary’s Institute for Communal Harmony) at the hands of eminent writer Y. M. Pathan, organized the first Interact conference of our District, and opened 5 Puri Bhaji Centers for nutrition to the poor. In this year, the club won District trophies for outstanding activities in Youth Service as well as Interact. He  shouldered numerous responsibilities at Rotary District level since 1994, culminating in his appointment as District Secretary in 2006-07 and Assistant Governor in 2008-09. He was member of DGNC in 2008-09 and IYE Selection Committee in 2004 and 2006. He led Rotary Friendship Team of 14 members to Pakistan in 2005 and was GSE Team Leader to RID 6740, Kentucky USA in 2007-08. 

Ravi is serving currently as the Secretary of Ramkrishna Sarda Ashram at Nashik.

His wife, Dr Poonam has done M.D. (Anesthesia) (with Gold Medal) from Mumbai University. She plays an active role in management of their hospital. His only daughter, Sonia, completed her M.D. in General Medicine (with Gold Medal) from BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai. She further finished D. M. (Neurology) from St. John's Hospital, Bangalore. His son in law Dr Ajit Dahale has done M.D. (Psychiatry) from NIMHANS, Bangalore and is serving there as Additional Professor. The couple is blessed with a son, Soham.

Ravi's extended family has more than 10 doctors.
